Kanehisa Laboratories
The large-scale molecular datasets generated by genome sequencing and other high-throughput experimental technologies are the basis for understanding life as a molecular system and for developing practical applications in medical, pharmaceutical, and environmental sciences. The key to linking such large-scale datasets to practical values lies in bioinformatics technologies, not only in terms of computational methods, but also in terms of knowledge bases.
Kanehisa Laboratories has been developing KEGG, a reference knowledge base for systems-level interpretation of genomes and other high-throughput data.
KEGG is developed in collaboration with the following two centers.
