  The Bioinformatics Center of the Institute for Chemical Research, Kyoto University and the Human Genome Center of the Institute of Medical Science, the University of Tokyo jointly started a new bioinformatics program, named the Education and Research Organization for Genome Information Science, for graduate education and postdoctoral training with funding from the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (MEXT) of Japan.

Graduate Schools

Students accepted in the following graduate schools will be eligible for participating this program:
Non-Japanese candidates may apply for the Japanese government (MEXT) scholarship to be accepted in the above graduate schools.


Graduate Student Internship

Graduate students in other countries are accepted for a short-term stay in either the Kyoto University Bioinformatics Center or the Univeristy of Tokyo Human Genome Center. Please contact one of the principal investigators listed below. It is strongly recommended that applicants obtain financial supports by themselves, such as the NSF summer program for U.S. students.
